Research Fellow
Dr Konstantinos N. Bourdakos is a Research Fellow in the Molecular BioPhotonics and Imaging group led by Professor Sumeet Mahajan at the University of Southampton. He has a background in Physics and a PhD in Ultrafast Spectroscopy of Quantum Nanostructures. His expertise lies in the domains of Optics, Nonlinear Optics, Ultrafast and Coherent Raman Spectroscopies applied in the fields of low dimensional nanostrucutres, hybrid organic/quantum dot systems, organic semiconductors, photoactive proteins and biomaging.
He has developed numerous apparatuses for Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopies as well as for Coherent Raman Scattering and Multiphoton Microscopies, and researched Super-Resolution methods based on Point Spread Function Engineering and Wavefront Shaping by deploying Super-Oscillations. He is currently working in high resolution Deep Tissue Multiphoton Imaging in the SWIR window.
