Research Fellow in Biomedical microscopy
Anna Crisford is a Research Fellow in Biomedical microscopy at the University of Southampton in a multidisciplinary team led by Professor Sumeet Mahajan. After completing a PhD in Neuropharmacology at the University of Southampton, she worked on Neuroscience related projects as a postdoctoral Research Fellow within Institute of Life Sciences.
Anna subsequently worked on multidisciplinary projects providing an expertise in biological applications of the imaging and spectroscopy techniques. She works collaboratively with physics and chemists in the group developing Super resolution, Coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering imaging (CARS), two photon fluorescence (TPF) and second harmonic generations (SHG) imaging techniques. Projects involved imaging live and fixed cells, proteins, tissues, and whole model organisms.
